That long awaited vacation of mine that I told you about is over, and it’s time to get back to work.
You know that I urge all of you to take the time off that you deserve. So I did just that! I decided to practice what I’ve been preaching to you for so long. You know that old saying: “Do as I say, not as I do.” Now though, at least this time, I can say: “Do as I do too!”
And let me tell you, it’s just as I said it would be. How good it is to be able to relax with the family, do nothing but what we all really want to do. And to be able to reflect on where I’ve been, where I am and where I want to go in the future.
A Career in Blogging
This fourth career of mine, this blogging business, is still kinda new to me (OK, not brand new, but kinda….) , but I’m learning fast and I think I’m catching on to it pretty well.
I decided during my time off that I need to kind of redirect and redouble my efforts. After all I can’t help you become the best blogger you can be without deciding the best way to do that, can I?
Words, Words, Words
In an earlier blog post this year, Oggie’s Three Words for 2016, I told you how my fellow blogger Chris Brogan chooses three words each year to remind him of his goals for the year and to help guide him toward those goals. That is something that I urge all of you to do.
Besides guiding you through the year, the concept has the additional benefit of making you put your thinking cap on, deciding what’s next for you and planning how you want to get there. Just like a mid-year vacation does.
Remember my three words for 2016? Share, Grow, and Awesome! I want to Share whatever knowledge I have with you so both of us can Grow in our careers and become Awesome!
Where Do I Go from Here?
Besides my blog posts just being blog posts (as wonderful as they are!), I need to put them in different formats. That’s why I’m smack in the middle of recording them all as podcasts—you know, so you can just listen to them while you’re doing something else—like walking or jogging or checking your eyelids for pinholes.
I’d also like to produce them as videos. That way you can concentrate more on them as I’m talking about them—and of course you’ll get to see me that way too. How great is that?
I’d like to put together some courses for you to take that will help guide you through the processes you’d like me to help you with.
And of course I’ll be writing more eBooks to get out to you.
How Can YOU Help ME?
So now let me put the shoe on the other foot. I need to know exactly what you want to have help with. The issue is: How can I help YOU! I’ve told you about some of my plans above. Now I’d like you to tell me the best way I can make you the best you can be.
Just like you, I want to Share, to Grow and to be Awesome! Let’s both help each other! Is that a deal we can both live with? Of course it is!
Here’s my email address email@example.com. All you need to do is click on it to email me. I’m even going to give you my personal cell phone number: 352-346-0607. If you’re reading this on your phone, all you need to do is click on the number. Or you can text me on that number.
I couldn’t make it simpler for you, could I? I’m looking forward to hearing from you so we can become better together.
Hey, thanks for reading or listening to this blog post. I appreciate it. I hope you got something out of it. Y’all come back now!
